About Me

Generally it is customary to introduce ones self upon first meeting. I did not follow this advice so I think I will in this post to make up for that oversight.
Hello, my name is Adrian. I am married and a soon-to-be-father to a little boy to be born sometime in March.  I have been teaching, in one form or another, for the past ten years. I have taught Kindergarten through 8th grade and regularly volunteer in the children's ministry at my local church.
Just to give you a view into my background, I started teaching in 2002. I started subbing between two different corporations before I landed my first position as a Building Substitute in a middle school. I then got a job working with special needs students in a middle school. Shortly after leaving there I got a job teaching 6th grade Special Education Teacher. I then left the schoolgot a job working with kids through the YMCA. I worked with the Before and After School Program and moved up to Program Director. After leaving, I got a job teaching Art at a local charter school for a short time and moved on to working with 1st grade students  as a Reading Specialist and Instructional Assistant and then as a Kindergarten Instructional Assistant and 4th grade Instructional Assistant in an inner city school. I then moved on to teach 4th grade and now I am substitute teaching and working as a tutor for the Boys and Girls Club of Elkhart.
From my resume, I have a depth of experience that I can draw from when I go into the classroom and creating resources for Teachers Pay Teachers. I have been working with Teachers Pay Teachers for about a year and have been creating resources off and on over the course of that year. It is a lot of fun creating these different resources and it is a way for me to use my skills from the classroom and put them to good use, even though I am not in a full time position as of late.
If you have any questions about me and my experiences, feel free to leave it in the comments below.
